Batu Tara Volcano is an Isolated in the Flores Sea about 50 km from Lembata Island or about 78 km from East Flores, known as Pulau Komba, Batu Tara Volcano is has been active since January 2007 and until this report still ongoing eruption with strombolian eruption every 10-45 minutes erupted.
The first historical eruption from Batu Tara, during 1847-52, produced explosions and a lava flow

duration : 7 days 6 night, 3 night at Pulau Komba + 2 Night if start From Jakarta
—Note: if you departure from Bali, we flight from Maumere to Denpasar, but the flight only 3 times a week, and will be change the schedule following flight departure —-
BATUTARA VOLCANO EXPEDITION,
Day 1 t: Arrival & meeting in Denpasar, Bali / Jakarta
Arrival in Denpasar airport, transfer to hotel at Jimbaran. Group dinner and briefing for the expedition. ( D )
Accommodation: hotel Sari segara Jimbaran ( proposed) or similar
Day 2: Jakarta / Denpasar – Kupang – Larantuka/Maumere
Transfer by flight to Kupang then Larantuka, and preparing the expedition. Stay overnight. ( B,L,D )
Accommodation: Homestay
Day 3: Larantuka – Komba Island/ Batutara
From Larantuka, sail to Komba Island by traditional TUNA fisherman boat to Komba island ( 8-9 hours ) depending on weather condition. Set up a camp site at east flank possible to camp with setting up the bivouac and sleeping bag on beach. ( B,L,D )
Accommodation: Camp / Bivak Camp
Landing to Beach at Pulau Komba – Batu Tara
Day 4: Batutara
Prepare to land at Batutara volcano on the west flank by canoe on facing its eruption activity ( for night photography )
Note: All participant will set up another camp here depending on the tide ( activities will be flexible depending on the condition at field such as the tide, high wave, nature’s problem). (B,L,D )
Accommodation: Camp
Day 5: Batutara
Back to camp site, and at afternoon climb to the east flank taking photos from the top if condition allowing.(B,L,D )
Accommodation: Camp
Day 6: Batutara – Larantuka
Sail back to Larantuka and stay overnight. ( B,L,D )
Accommodation: Homestay
Day 7: Larantuka – Kupang – Denpasar / Jakarta
Flight to Kupang then will be connecting by another flight to Denpasar or Jakarta (B)
End of Tour expedition. Participant can extend to stay in Denpasar/Jakarta or get connecting flight from Bali/Jakarta for return. ( B )
