Mount Raung Volcano 3332 m

Mount Raung 3332 m is one of the active volcanoes on the island of Java in Indonesia. It is located in the province of East Java, is a part of 3 distric of Bondowoso, Banyuwangi and Jember.

With 2 km wide Caldera surrounded by a grayish rim. The difference in color of the rim and the flanks of the volcanoes is caused by the rim’s lack of vegetation compared with the healthy and extensive vegetation on the flanks

Mount Raung (Gunung Raung) has the largest crater in Java. It’s one of the most remote Volcanoes in Java

recorded eruption was in 1586 which resulted in fatalities; between 1586 and 1817 five more deadly eruptions were recorded

in 2008 Mount Raung last erupted but there hasn’t been a catastrophic eruption for many decades, when I climb this Volcano on 2008, just Have Smoke from the Child of New Crater
in 2012 Oct 19 wake up again and VSI change status to level 2 also the Volcano erupted produce stromboli eruption but only inside of the craters and also produce of Vulcanic Ash Plume with hot smoke
