FAQ

Q1:What is the warranty period of the battery?

A1:We offer 10-year warranty for 51.2v server rack lithium battery, covering non-human-induced battery failure issues. When you buy this solar kit, you are covered by the full manufacturer warranties on each component. Plus, you’ll receive our lifetime customer and technical support.

Q2:What communication methods are supported?

A2:Our battery communicate via built-in Bluetooth/WiFi with mobile apps; RS485-1 on the front panel communicates with host computer software, mainstream inverters, and Solar Assistant; CAN interface communicates with inverters; RS232 interface communicates with host computer software.

Q3:What kind of battery cells are used?

A3:We use 100% brand-new A-grade prismatic cells from REPT in our batteries, ensuring up to 6000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge (DOD).

Q4:What safety designs does the battery have?

A4:Our battery are equipped with a built-in 100A BMS and pre-charging circuit, and a 125A short-circuit protection switch on the front panel.

Q5:Can V3 communicate in parallel with V2?

A5:Yes, the same principle applies to the DIP switch settings. If the number of parallel connections exceeds 15, V3 must be placed on the 16th or later.

Q6:What should I consider when connecting V3 in parallel with V2?

A6:(1) The terminals have opposite polarity, so please pay attention to the cable selection. (2) Set the battery address by referring to the QA above.

Q7:V3 can be connected to the monitor to monitor the whole set of batteries via 232 connector, can V2 be connected?

A7:Yes, V3 can. but V2 cannot. If mixed, make sure V3 is the host and connect the monitor to V3.

My review

I had purchase 18 -48 volts server rack batteries from Signature Solar. I decided to try EcoWorthy server rack batteries and I am very happy with the outcome. End up buying 12 EcoWorthy and may be buying 6 more once I get the other set paid off.

You can’t beat the price and quality

Updating my comments and adding the picture of my rack. Getting ready to expand with their new V3 battery. I love the way they listen to users and making improvements on their products. Hopefully they will sell the individual Solar panels they have on their off grid kits separately.

Great deal

These batteries arrived undamaged, they were well packed. They had about 30% charge on arrival. My free rack could have been packaged or handled a little better but arrived undamaged, some of threaded inserts had too much paint in the threads and it was difficult to thread the bolts in at first. I ended up getting my handy torch to melt off the paint in the threads in order to put the rack together. I ordered a charger (different brand) and I was able to slowly charge all 6 up too 4 days. Now I'm just awaiting wires to connect my inverter and sub panel. Kind of bummed about finding out that I received an older version, and not the latest available. Seams like the same V1's and V2's could be listed separately for a discount, but I am happy that this company is constantly improving and listening to the customers request to improve their products. Keep up the good work. Hopefully when I order my next set of batteries it will be even better. Oh it would be nice if the rack had buss bars and a door for protection, I'm going to make one out of 1/4 plastic and some strong magnets for a protective cover.

Two V1s were good, Three V2s and maybe one more to fill out the mini-grid

After many years of using FLD and AGM (and still do), I made the plunge into LiFePO4 server rack batteries. I don't have a YouTube channel since I work and don't have the time to make videos so the batteries shown in my review were purchased without compensation of any kind. The two lower ones in the photo are the V1 and my research indicating shipping damage was the driver to update to V2 with removal handles (secured by four small screws that are recessed). V2 are the upper three units in a rack. After testing over two months in parallel running large resistive loads, I can tell you these have held a decent balance. The RS485 communications between the battery and inverter has worked decently and these batteries do have an application that is on their site. The application is basic to validate DIP switch settings, voltage charge / discharge settings, etc. The BMS on V1/V2 versions is showing the same JBD48100000 with battery over-voltage at 57.6/3.6 per cell and a release of 54.4/3.4. Basically the application looks to be setup to give the beginner a method to charge without too much worry. I believe the application is locked down and would have to have the passwords to make changes, but in many ways a beginner should probably learn before changing anything. The temp sensors work and display in both C and F temps. The calls are laser welded, so having dependable hardware is a must. The blue tooth range is very short in my opinion but the cards are inside of a faraday cage so there you go. My batteries are setup for RS-485 Pylon to a EG4 inverter but there are a number of other RS485 and CAN options for major manufacturers too. I plan to call customer service and/or email them to inquire on firmware versions or better monitoring / configuration applications. I believe EW is now including a RS485 to USB adapter which is nice to have for sure. I use an external Victron Energy 300A shunt and when you compare the individual SOC% against the shunt, so far not much SOC drift of any consequence. Also, IF you get more than one battery you will have to set one as a master. Powering down the master, will power ALL batteries down in one shot! I did NOT read this in any documentation, so be aware! Being an older guy, make darn sure you have help to move the 100# /45kg monsters! I am thinking of getting a lift system since back injury is NOT worth it! So do your research, think about what makes sense for you and the fact that FREE shipping and well packaged dense foam with handles is something my FedEx driver appreciates and she is a tiny thing.....embarrassing me to no end.....(5 times now). I just ordered the newly released 60A48 charger tonight as well since 500AH is a lot of battery to charge in an emergency and then I can sleep at night when the power is out without listening to a generator or have someone take off with it.
