21 Days North Sumatera and Baliem Cultural Trekking Papua

DAY 1. AIRPORT – BUKITLAWANG
Arrival in Medan-Kuala Namu International Airport, we will pick up you from the airport and depart to Bohorok/Bukit Lawang to orang utan rehabilitation centre in Gunung Leseur nature reservation. Overnight at Mudy’s Guesthouse
DAY 2. JUNGLE TREKKING (B.L.D)
After breakfast at hotel then walking through the bank of the river and crossing the river by traditional canoe and walking up the jungle to see the Orang Utan on the their feeding time. After feeding place of Orang Utan trekking through the Leuser National Park, walking around Leuser National Park is the time to experience many kind of flora and fauna as well enjoy the song of birds and Siamang “The Black Gibbon” overnight in tent or shelter.
DAY 3. BUKITLAWANG (B.L)
After breakfast prepared by tour guide continue trekking, today is half day walking and explore the rain tropical forest with their wild life living in their original habitat, then back to Bukitlawang afterward continue drive to Tangkahan by Jeep, overnight at Mega Inn.
DAY 4. TANGKAHAN – ELEPHANT SAFARI (B)
After breakfast walking to the Bank of the River and then by Elephant walking to the jungle, passing and crossing the river and the possibility to see several kind of flora and fauna in the rain tropical forest.
DAY 5. TANGKAHAN – BERASTAGI (B)
After breakfast, afterward continue drive to Berastagi, here you can view two active volcanoes, the Sibayak and Sinabung also you can visit the colorful fruit market overnight at Grand Mutiara Hotel or Sinabung Resort.
DAY 6. BRASTAGI – SAMOSIR ISLAND (B)
After breakfast drive to Parapat on the way visit Sipiso-piso waterfall, Rumah Bolon (Long house) the old palace of Batak Simalungun Kings and Simarjarunjung to see the view of Lake Toba, upon arrival at Parapat crossing to Samosir Island by ferry boat arrival at Samosir check in to hotel. overnight at Samosir Cottage or Carolina Hotel
DAY 7. TOBA TOUR (B)
Samosir Island – tour to Tomok, Ambarita and Simanindo and visit typical Toba Batak villages: Tomok with its kings tombs, Ambarita with its execution tables and in Simanindo with traditional Batak dance, Overnight at Samosir Cottage or Carolina Hotel
DAY 8. SAMOSIR – MEDAN (B)
Today you drive along endless palm tree, rubber and cacao plantations and through the city of Pematang Siantar. After arriving in Medan, overnight at Grand Antares Hotel
DAY 9. MEDAN – AIRPORT – JAKARTA (B)
After breakfast, transfer to airport for flight to Jakarta, overnight in Jakarta
DAY 10. JAKARTA – JAYAPURA (B)
following schedule flight to Jaya pura, arrive in Jaya Pura. You have simple tour visit Sentani tribes who live in the middle of Sentani lake. Lunch have at local restaurant. After lunch continue to see local market, monument of Douglas Mc Arthur and etc. afternoon return to hotel in Jaya Pura City.
DAY 11. JAYAPURA – WAMENA (D)
Transfer to Airport of Jayapura by morning flight, meet by guide and
catch the flight to Wamena by Trigana / Similiar domestic flight Upon arrival , transfer to hotel for check in, after lunch visit Local market of Jibama and Napua village to view the nice scenery and down town of Wamena. Afternoon drive back to hotel for dinner and stay overnight.

DAY 12 WAMENA – PIKHE – SUROBA – WAMENA TOUR (BLD)
Breakfast at hotel, by car drive to the north, then simply walking to Pike village to see the Mummy, then continue to Suroba village by passing some Dani tribes compound on the way, and also you will see the peoples working in their gardens, lunch will serve by boxes. Explore the village
surrounding and late afternoon drive back to hotel for dinner and stay.
DAY 13 WAMENA-JIWIKA-DANCES AND MOCK BATTLE-WAMENA(BLD)
Breakfast at hotel, fullday tour visit Nothern Baliem Valley. Drive car for 40 minutes to Jiwika district by taxi then, climb up the Milli mountain to see the Dani women produce the salt by traditional way by extract from bananas pulp from spring water, it will take about 2.5 hours
round trip. After lunch serve by box, walking to Sumpaima village to see the old Mummy of Mabels family. About 10 minutes to Anemoigi village to enjoy the Dani dance and mock battle and also cooking with traditional way, making fire, etc. Late afternoon by car back to hotel for dinner and
stay overnight at Baliem Pilamo hotel.
DAY 14 WESAPUT, Baliem Exploring (BLD)
After breakfast at hotel, set out hotel by car drive heading southern to visit WESAPUT village – an area of Dani tribes colony, an interesting walking through the Dani’s villages, browse with local people, experience the Dani’s working in their field – planting the sweat potatoes and yams
using an old method. Continue explore the southern Baliem valley visiting various villages and meet the tribe’s and enjoy the nature surrounding. Lunch box served en-route. Late afternoon return to hotel.
DAY 15 WAMENA-SOGOKMO-KURIMA-WAMENA (BLD)
Breakfast at hotel, fullday exploring the Baliem Valley area visit Southern Dani and village surrounding by car abut 1 hour to Sogokmo or Yetni river and take a simply trek through Dani gardens and will be nice view of Baliem gorge and landscape meet the southern dani walking and some working and tlaking. Lunch will serve by box. Afternoon drive back to Wamena for dinner and stay overnight at Baliem pilamo hotel.
DAY 16 WAMENA – KIMBIM/ PIRAMYD – WAMENA (BLD)
Breakfast at hotel, then by car to the west about 2 hours drive to see the the Big compound of Lani tribes at Pyramid, on the way will stop at Kimbim village to see the market. Explore the village and Visit the compound, lunch will provided by boxes, afternoon return to the hotel for dinner and
stay overnight.
DAY 17 WAMENA – JAYAPURA (BLD)
Breakfast at hotel, transfer to the airport for fly back to Jayapura Trigana flight. Up on arrive transfer to Sentani Indah hotel for check in, then sight seeing tour to Sentani lake by boat visit Ayapo and Assey island. After lunch at Yougwa restaurant at the lake side, Continue to
University Museum, Jayapura down town and vicinity and Hamadi Market for souvenir shop. Late afternoon drive to Sentani Indah hotel for dinner and
stay overnight.
DAY 18 JAYA PURA – TANAH MERAH (B,L,D)
after breakfast drive to Tanah Merah Beach, in here you can enjoying beach and also snorkeling. Overnight at Tent
DAY 19 TANAH MERAH – JAYA PURA (B,L,D)
Half day snorkeling and explore around beach. Having lunch under the Sago trees and afternoon return to hotel for accommodation and having dinner

Breakfast at hotel, transfer to the airport for your flight to Jakartam overnight Near Hotel Airport
