Mount Rinjani (3726 m above sea level) is a second high peak Volcano in Indonesia, location is Lombok Islands in Indonesia, this Volcano is second Biggest Caldera with crater lake known as Segara Anak (Child of the Sea) and Anak Gunung Baru or Child of Mount Rinjani. By Day Itinerary:
DAY01 Upon arrival at Padang airport, drive to Kersik Tuo village will be take around 10 hours using Public Travel/Bus usually will be Departure from Padang Noon and will arrival in Kersik Tuo very early in the morning. If we arrival in midnight will be overnight at Homestay
DAY 02 Kersik Tuo Village – Camp IV Mount Kerinsi (B,L,D).
Start early morning walk to the Kerinci Seblat National Park Entrance Gate R10 Pos. Then continue by 4-5 hours trekking to base camp (shelter) at 3.100 M. Overnight in tent
DAY 03 Camp IV – Mt Kerinci Summit – Kersik Tou Village (B,L,D).
Very Early morning usually at 04:00 am we starting climbing to the summit of Mount Kerinci 3,805 M, then going back to Camp IV packing the Equipment and after lunch go back to Kersik Tuo we will arrival at Village around 7-8 pm, we will overnight at Homestay
DAY 04 KERSIK TUO VILLAGE – GUNUNG TUJUH LAKES (B,L,D)
Start Early morning by Public or Carter drive to Plompek Village and walk to Gunung Tujuh Lakes at 1996m above sea level, take 2-3 hours trekking, in the lakes we can swimming and relaks afternoon return to Kersik Tuo then using Car for drive will be take around 10 hours to Padang and continue for transfer to airport for flight to Surabaya will be transit in Jakarta, and Transfer to Tumpang Village.
DAY 05 Relaks Days.. Free Program!
Day 07 Tumpang – Ranupane- Kalimati Camp (B,L,D)
In The Morning after simple breakfast at Waroeng, we drive to Ranupane Village and starting to trekking take 6-8 hours to Kalimati Camp or Arcapada camp before sun down. We will hike in good pace while enjoying view of Mt Argopuro. Sometime you will spot the big smoke erupted from Mt Semeru in every 20 minutes or so. Hopefully all the member will arrive in Ranu Kumbolo in afternoon, then having lunch and short break.
Our journey continue to Kalimati (Dead River) with passing vast field of savannah just about the feet of Mt Semeru. Here you will stay in a camp, having resting to prepare summit attack in the midnight. As the climbing will take tool of energy we suggest you to have a good sleep.
Day 08 Semeru Summit – Ranu Kumbolo Lakes – RanuPane – Cemoro Lawang(B,L)
In the dark you will start climbing on rough ground, steep hike about an hour to Arcapada. You have to be careful due the landslide common happen in these area, so make sure that you have a strong torch to light your path. The route to the summit quite straightforward, in the sandy lose ground will again test your stamina. Prepare to slide down when you try to go up. Having trekking poles will be valuable to help you balances with the movement. Most people reach the summit about 3 hours, but it depends on everybody’s ability to keep going. It’s been advised by National Park to decent the summit before mid day due the gas produces by continuing smokes of Mt Semeru.
Reaching the summit (Mahameru) you will enjoy the view of the major part of East Java. You will stand in the highest mountain in Java. You have to see the small-scale eruption every 20 minutes full of smokes and stones. So enjoy your achievement today, you’ve deserved it but mind do not too close to the crater as the Mt Semeru is an active volcano.
Then we descend from summit back to Kalimati (camp) to have breakfast and to rest for a long morning trek. After breakfast we will continue to Ranu Kumbolo and after lunch times here continue trekking to Ranu Pane village using different router via Mount Ayek-ayek the foot of Mount Semeru. We’ll Arrived in Ranu Pane you need to rest before another trip to Mt Bromo. After lunch at porter house Drive to cemoro lawang by jeep cross savanna then check in Hotel in Cemoro lawang.
Day 09 Pananjakan – Mount Bromo – Blawan (B,D)
Early morning we will take you to see the spectacular sunrise from Mt Penanjakan with 4WD jeep. You will enjoy the magnificent view of Mt Semeru and Mt Bromo from the summit of Mt Penanjakan.Then we will drive you through vast of sandy area (lautan pasir = ocean of sands) across to go to summit of Mt Bromo. It is a concrete well mark steps to the edges of great crater. From here you can see the ocean beach and viewing the Hindu’s temple held by Tengger Tribe from Bromo. Then we will drive to Blawan take 5 hours. Overnight at Homestay or in Licin Village.
DAY 10 Kawah Ijen – Bali – Lombok (B)
Early in the morning, well before sunrise, we drive a short way to the start of the trail that leads up to the active beautiful crater of Kawah Ijen volcano (about 1-2 hr hiking) with its famous blue acid lake (which is the most acid in the world!) and the hot, partly liquid sulphur deposits. The fumaroles are so hot that sulphur comes out as green vapour. After plenty of observation time, we leave the Ijen Plateau then after clean and washing, we drive take 2 hours to Ketapang for Transfer to Bali, directly to Airport for flight to Lombok, overnight at Sembalu Village/Senaru Village
Day 11 Sembalun Village – Plawangan Sembalun (B,L,D)
in the morning after breakfast drive to Sembalun for Register at the Rinjani Information Centre (RIC) in Sembalun Lawang (1,156m), arrange National Park entry tickets. trek starts from Sembalun Lawang with a gentle ascent walking through open grassland used as cattle grazing by local people. Resting at Pos I Pemantauan (1,300), after about three hours from Sembalun we reach Pos 2 Tengengean (1,500m) enjoying the beautiful views of Mt. Rinjani’s summit (3,726m). After another hour’s ascent to Pos 3 Pada Balong (1,800m), we start the steep 3.5 hour climb amidst the pine-like Casuarina species locally known as Cemara, perhaps seeing evidence of wild pigs and the long-tailed grey macaque monkeys to the camp site at Plawangan 2 Sembalun crater rim (2,639m), overnight at Tents
Day 12 Mt Rinjani Summit 3726 m – Segara Anakan Lakes (B,L,D)
A 3 am start is necessary for the hard three-hour climb to the summit (3,726m) on volcanic screen. Once there, enjoy proud feelings of satisfaction and the amazing sunrise views across the Wallace Line to Bali, Mt. Agung and Sumbawa, and down to the lake Segara Anak (2,000m) within the Rinjani crater. Mt. Baru (2,351m) is an island in the lake and an active volcano, last erupting dramatically in 1994. Return down the ridge passing numerous edelweiss plants bunga abadi to the crater rim camp for a well-deserved breakfast. It takes two to three hours down the steep trail to the Crater Lake and Day 2’s camp. The rest of the day is spent relaxing, swimming in the lake and exploring the caves and pilgrimage hot springs, believed to have healing powers. Overnight at Tents
Day 13 Segara Anakan Lakes – Senaru Village (B,L,D)
After breakfast leave the lake and climb for two hours up to Plawangan 1 Senaru Crater Rim (2,461m). After lunch enjoy the views of the lake from the other side, relax, explore and await the sunset. If the wind is cold, you may prefer to descend two hours to Pos 3 Mondokan Lokaq and camp in the more sheltered forest. After lunch continues descend down the long trail to Senaru village (601m), through thick tropical forests rich in flora, bird life and a variety of butterflies. You might see orchid and, if lucky, the rare black ebony leaf monkey, known locally as lutung. Rest stops are taken along the way, with village stories and local legends related by your guide. Features include the Batu Penyesalan stone and banyan tree bunut ngengkang that looks like someone standing with their legs apart. After seven hours walk from the rim, (or five hours from Pos 3 Mondokan Lokaq), the trek ends at Rinjani Trek Centre at the road head in Senaru. Overnight at Homestay
Day 14 Senaru Village – Lombok (B)
After breakfast starting for drive to Mataram – Lombok . After lunch, served at the local restaurant, you will be transferred by Car to Your hotel or to Gilis Islands
End trip.
