About Raja Ampat Islands.
Raja Ampat is word from Bahasa Indonesia, in english we call ‘King of Four’, is the name given to these islands and comes from a local myth. The four major islands found here are Waigeo, Misool (which is home to ancient rock paintings), Salawati, and Batanta, and hundreds small islands then we call Kepulauan Raja Ampat or Raja Ampat Islands.
Raja Ampat is one of the best for snorkeling and Diving and still very natural destination in west Papua, Underwater enthusiasts flock to this region because it offers the world’s best marine sights. Two days earlier, some of these travelers had been at a deafening corner of a tourist trap in Bali.
Once they took their flight to the bird head of the island of Papua everything changed as they embarked on a diving tour of a lifetime. In the Raja Ampat islands, divers can explore vertical underwater walls. The thrill of drift diving is another great challenge. These are the awesome experiences you will find in Raja Ampat.
Getting Raja Ampat by Air or by Indonesia ferry is very possible
by air, easy way is take flight with destination to Sorong City, now when I write this article have some airline company have flight to Sorong from Jakarta or Makassar or Menado. eg. Garuda Indonesia, Sriwijaya, Express Air and Lion air /Wings operate daily flights from Jakarta to Sorong will be transit in Makassar.
by Sea using operate Indonesia Pelni using KM. Bukit Siguntang, KM Doron Dola from Surabaya. or possible also from Makassar.
transport from Sorong to Waisai (the city in Raja Ampat regian) have daily by fastboat
Permit to Raja Ampat islands is for Foregn IDR 500.000 and for Indonesian citizen is IDR 250.000,-

Day -1 Arrive at Sorong, overnight at Hotel near Sorong
Day 1 (Sorong – Waisai)
Go to Waisai by Marina Express Boat and then go to resort. Experience snorkeling at jett. (D)
Day 2 (Kabui Gulf – Wayag)
Passing through the beautifulKabui Gulf Gulf and continue to hiking at famous Wayag Mountain, then snorkeling with thousands of marine lives of Raja Ampat. (B/L/D)
Day 3 (Piaynemo – Arborek – Kri)
Hiking at The Piaynemo Mountainthethe visit the local fisherman villages of Arborek and Sawingray to explore Raja Ampat culture and feeding fish. Later, snorkeling or diving (optional) at Kri Island and take photos at the famous Pasir Timbul.
Day 4 (Waisai – Sorong)
